Ok.. I'm quite busy for the past few days.. Working till 11pm~12am in the morning for 2 out of 3 nights now.. Wonder if tml will be the same..

Anyways.. My suggestions would be.. Sunday let's meet ard 3pm at bugis.. Go shopping shopping.. and then chill at arcade.. and then finally tian tian.. Afterwhich.. i can just make my way back to my clinic to stay overnight with alicia to get started on my MP.. ~_~ urgh..

The SIP was indeed a holistic experience for me. (I've learnt something about buttering the higher authorities up over there..) TP has made my diploma a complete and enriching experience for me.. (Something not quite right eh?)

Finally! I've got my project title and done with my project synopsis.. *Yays!* I had to change my project supervisor from Dr Jean-Paul Ly to Dr Brian Loon.. No choice cause Dr JPL is sooo busy all the time.. And not to mention he extended his China trip... I needed someone who is mostly there all the time.. Not that Dr Loon is all that bad.. He's pretty cool, and young.. Which kinda makes me wonder, how the **** he graduated so young?!

Took a few pictures and videos there.. And presenting, ARVC - the prelude.

This is a very very pretty cat, which has a super savage tendency of killing his caretakers.

Benji, the sweetest cat there is on Earth, too bad he is FIV+ though..

GW: the first week spent at clinic

the first week at Mount Pleasant Animal Clinic was boring, had to work at the reception area and entertain the clients. Last Friday, i was not to pick up any phone call. my supervisor tells me that client and the doctor were complaining about me during phone call. I found out that there is really some problem with my hearing and i really sucks at entertaining client, haha.

then this week, i finally get to work at the back and help to restraint the animal, and some of the animal really know how to struggle and it was really fun. i also watch a lot of surgery done by the doctor and there are a lot of sterilization surgery done.

this is a kitten that is to put up for adoption, keep scratching and bitting me

Alright! Who's still alive after our first week apart?! (Okay..that sounds terrible..) The world out there really is overwhelming eh.. Anyway, Turf Club is boring. Fun but boring.. I think the only fun part for me at the time being is driving a buggy.. But that may be cause I havent gotten the chance to drive in almost a month since I got my license.. But man...the new buggies are damn fun! Though I think max speed around 25km/hr..I didnt get to floor the accerlator when I drove the new 4-seater buggy.. The roads werent clear..and some stupid truck just had to come out from the side road. Idiot. Didnt the driver know that vehicles on the main road get priority?! I had to swerved right to avoid crashing into the cab of the the huge 6 wheeler carrier truck. Grrr..But of course, no harm done. I've been taught well by my driving instructor. My supervisor however, is a demon driver. She rides a motorbike to work sometimes -.- And worse is, she got into an accident earlier this year and broke her left arm and her left knee, yet she still rides..omg.. And the way she drive buggy frigging scary too..I've a permanent bruise on my right thigh from bumping constantly against the arm rest of the seat. (note: the driver is on the left side in the buggy..I thought I would have problems with driving on the left. But it is still the same -.- buggy too small lol) Oh yea, buggies arent suitable for driving in wet weather.. It doesnt protect you much from the rain and water on the roads can splash all the way on onto your shoes and jeans.

So did you guys have fun?! When we get our paycheck, lets all go bugis for steamboat!

T: Hurray for ARVC!

I'm sharing my personal experiences in ARVC for the past 2 days.. Since I'm working on like a 3 weekdays + 1 weekend schedule.. I've got 3 days to foam and die at home.. How nice!

Kinda sad that i phailed my AHDis.. Will be retaking it.. Wonder how did I even fail it!

First day was insane.. Got a preview of my working place.. Met Ruth there (our senior from TP).. Got to assist Dr Lucy Shum.. She is awesome.. She's a friggin hippie I tell you.. Funny to work with.. Showed me the ropes around the place when assisting a vet during consultation.. Met two other nurses Jacqeline and Dionne.. They are sooo nice.. It's good to have sempais ard.. Ruth is kinda strict.. But I guess it's kinda what she learned during her SIP there.. Coz she said that it's all about being independent.. So ok..

Met Dr Jean Paul Ly.. Very very amazing vet.. His uses very little time to diagnose a problem.. And pretty reliant on his nurses.. I guess that's what you would call as "trusting ur employees".. And he is sooo dedicated.. He forgoes his own lunch to commit to surgeries... Like one for the microtomy of a male ragdoll cat.. And another one on the aspiration of the salivary gland of a miniature poodle..

Second day, got to meet another 2 resident vets. They are Dr Brian Loon and Dr Persson. Dr Persson is an american mother who specialises in imaging like ultrasound.. She was so professional with the machine.. Dr Loon assisted Dr Ly with a spinal surgery of a daschund.. Dr Ly was technically so stressed out and was shouting all around.. It was pretty frightening.. But kinda got used to it after awhile.. We talked about various things like cancer being the number one killer of dogs due to commercial diets and lots of other stuff..

Personal achievements for the past 2 days..
1. Got to perform blood tests on my own.
2. Managed to restrain an insanely jumpy German Sherpard which tried to nibble on my fingers.
3. Managed to restrain an insane kitten while the Dr Loon force fed it de-worming tablets.. Though I kinda lost my grip at the end.. And the kitten scratched Dr Loon... ACK... So sorry Dr Loon... >.<

And the big day is tomorrow. In less than 24hours, we would all be walking into our new prison cell when we will be held for 5 months. Not to fret though, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be one heck of a learning experience. And we will meet again. When we get our first pay check, we are gonna go hang out like we used to. Oh man..sounds emo.. Anyway, all the best to each one of you! We are gonna do well and get distinctions for our last semester in TP! Not to forget our current semester results... But we will find out about that soon enough! There's always the on-campus discussion for us to meet up and hang out LOL.

T: Natsu Matsuri 2008

Oh GOD.. I've finally recieved the pictures from Janice.. Though I don't exactly remembered what happened on Natsu Matsuri itself.. However, I DO happen to know that SOMEONE was smitten by a cute little japanese girl.. *hints the paedophile :P*

In anycase, it was a night filled with fun, laughter and not missing out, the booze and the good food made by traditional Japanese hands.. (Relax ppl, we are all above the drinking age.. :D)

We arrived our destination, the Singapore Japanese School, at around 4+pm... Unfortunately for us, the gates weren't open.. And it was raining.. So, there we have, 4 people squeezing under 2 miserable umbrellas.. Forced to talk a bunch of crap while Shu Hui decidedly pang seh-ed us by reading her book.. *booooo....*

We were looking around for cute and good-looking people when we spot a group of OTAKUs.... OMG... And I thought I was ugly... *no offense, but seriously, if you were to lose to me in terms of looks, you can just go weep in a corner..*

Wrapping the experience up, it was amazing.. Though the weather was kinda a spoilsport..

Gambit and I were having our second Natsu Matsuri, while Carmen and Shu Hui were experiencing their first.. :D

C: RSAF OH 08

Yesterday, Terris, GW and I went to the RSAF Open House '08 at Paya Lebar Air Base. We met at Eunos Bus Interchange at 1210 and coincidently, GW and I were apparently taking the same MRT lol. We took the free shuttle bus to the air base and I had the misfortune of sitting next to this indian man who kept opening his legs wider and wider and in the process, letting his knee touch my thigh. OMFG! I had to keep moving away from him..seriously, if he gropes me, I would turn him into mush without a moment's hesitation.. When the bus finally reach the Air Museum, it was all I could do not to shove everyone out of the way as I made a dash to the bus exit. But it was nice of GW to be protective and fussed about why I didnt say so earlier so that he could go punch the indian guy. Advantages of going out with guys lol..they are very protective about their friends. Thanks GW!

Then it was off to the fairground! Hiked through the air base and followed the crowd. There were way too many kids in prams with their inconsiderate parents for our liking. GW declared countless times that all children shouldnt be seen nor heard and that they should instead be kept in locked rooms. But yea, the kids are really annoying. They are are shrieking their lungs raw and their parents are doing some serious kamikaze pram pushing. I kept having to evade the prams and their noisy contents. Well, we found the fairground and proceed through the security checkpoint and some of the event helpers gave us a catalog and a scratch and win bookmark. Seriously, whats the point of giving a bookmark which you intend to collect back when the recipents uses it to claim their prize? Its TOTALLY POINTLESS! But anyway we wandered further in and baked in the hot sun..the first aircraft exhibition we saw and promptly whipped out our camera phones:

After randomly snapping pictures of the aircrafts on display, we ducked into this tent with food and air-con! What better combination than that on a hot day? Ate ramly burger and unanimously agreed that it was the best we ever had before. I think they fried the patties first before grilling..the smell..the taste...ahhhhhhhhh.. it made walking in the heat and tolerating the noisy kids worth it. GW was sorely tempted to punch some of the kids lol. When we were done eating, we left the comforts of the shade and hasten to get ice cream. Terris settled for an orange popsicle, GW a lime popsicle and myself a peach & apple jelly popsicle. I couldnt help but play with my popsicle by making it flop over by sucking hard on it. Terris just had to say that it looks as bent as a banana -.- We wandered all the way to the end and watch as people boarded on of the transport carriers and then take off! Then it was a hike back to the entrance and the search for the boarding zone for the shuttle back.. Well, we got lost..walked all the way back to the air museum only to find out that the boarding area is near the security checkpoint..so we had to walk back again. Upon reaching the boarding zone, we were horrifled at the length of the queue for the shuttle back to Eunos..it snaked on and on. Apparently there was a traffic jam along Eunos, thus the holdup. Opted to take to Hougang since it was still early and we had lots of time to waste.
It was a long bus ride back to Tampines..All three of us were totally bored and foaming.. GW was reading a comic book before he decided to sleep with his mouth wide open while I slumped at the other end of the back row reading Twilight. Cant see what Terris was up to since he was at the other end and there were two strangers between us. I think the ride took about an hour? It was butt-numbing..GW dropped off opposite Tampines Regional Library and took a bus back home while Terris and I went to TM for Terris to look at clothes and for me to play in the arcade. All in all a rather fun day! And I got a slight tan LOL

The waitress came by with a tray laden with plates..and we didnt realize it was all ours..

Less than 1 hour into the sushi stuffing feast and after the waitress cleared 18 plates..

Today, we went to Sakae!
Target no. of plates = 60
No. of plates we ate = 46

MISSION FAIL

Oh well..we ate like 32 plates in less than an hour..all the stuffing apparently killed our appetites..

Something funny happened which left us clutching our stomachs from laughter though.. And yea, laughing aids in digestion LOL

We decided to ask the waitress for ice water..okay..technically, GW suggested it and the three of us agreed. So, GW called out to this waitress who happened to walk past our table..
GW: Excuse me..Can we ask you a question?

Waitress: *stops at our table* yes?

GW: *to me* Ask.

Waitress & I: *stares at each other baffled*

Me: Er..... *glares at GW* Can we have some ice water please?

Then we burst out into laughter..even the waitress was trying to suppress a smile..
